Podium was originally supposed to be funded by the city as a sort of flexible performance space, but as the city showed no interest, it got scrapped. (is that really surprising? considering a developer approached them and essentially asked for $50 million out of the blue, not really)

It's taking forever for them to finish the glazing.

That's a good shot of the new Union Station rail shed.

Nice tower, not incredible, but not boring either, although without the podium, they should rename it the I Tower.

God that building in front is ugly - what's with the two blank walls?

Also I really like the shape of this one, but I'm not too sure on the cladding

Residential building, maybe that's where the elevators are.

That's the back of the 25 The Esplanade. I'd not say is an ugly building.

It's blank because it has to be blank. Fire code, since its built up against existing buildings.

The Delta Hotel U/C maybe 45 floors and 160m, but looks like a midget next to the CN Tower.

It was conditional on the city coughing up $50 million to fund an art space within it. Basically, they were trying to ring some free money out of the city and the city predictably said no.

The CN Tower is just glorious

I'm visiting Toronto in a few weeks for a university interview, hopefully I'll have some nice pictures of the city!
