That is my favourite tower coming up in Toronto. Is there a timeline for completion?

wow, the model is incredible. what a ridiculous tower, so sleek. the base looks really interesting, is that a ball of glass?

The model makes me feel a lot better about the project. The renders looked good, but always made me a bit weary. I wish they had included the hummingbird into the model though.

I'm not sure if I like the base,it looks a bit aggressive.Maybe that's just a wrong impression.

Interesting to say the least, but the proposal's name does seem like a hackeyed imitation of Asian marketing, lol.

The base looks a bit off but it would seem that this is surely not the final design. Some things may be finalised.

obviously Yonge and Bloor is the most important corner or Bay and Adelaide...not front and Yonge or wherever this building is going to be.

is it still the hummingbird centre? I thought it changed its name to the Sony centre or something, but I could be wrong.

I must say that the model gives a much better impression of this tower, I don't think that Libeskind got a fair shake in the WTC competition (even though I did like the concept, esp.the slanted rooflines, I did not care for the actual tower designs) by saying he had no skyscraper experience, which at that time was for the most part true.

However with this tower he can join the the skyscraper club, everyone should get a fair shot, and this is a nice tower for both Libeskind, and Toronto.

Amazing. I can't imagine this in reality. The polar oppisate of the brutalist convention center it's built around. I think the lobby could be a little more toned down though.

You beat me to it. This is going to be one of the most eagerly awaited structures to go up in Toronto in a long time. It's such a departure from anything that exists here now. I'm not surprised that the units are almost all gone, the floor plans are the best I've seen in a few years. They are spacious, pleasing, and unique.

It really is an unbeatable location. CBD, St. Lawrence Market, and the lake all within walking distance.
