Yorkville is nice, but it's way more interesting right downtown. It's denser, the buildings are more sophisticated, there are more things to do, and it's closer to the waterfront. Yorkville beats it for high end shopping, but that's about it.

Dallasbrink: no worries.

urbantoronto member zach(at)spine3d.com has posted the following hi-res renders, which were produced by his company....

Also, the Sony Centre (formerly the Hummingbird Centre), which is the theatre that this tower will wrap around, will be closing in about 2 weeks, so that prep work can begin...

The base on the N/W side is very sophisticated. Ties with Shangri-La IMO.

On the contrary. Buildings of this calibre are long over due.

Renders, renders, renders. When do we get to see front-end loaders and other construction equipment? Every day that goes by without them makes me worry about whether this magnificent building will actually happen.

you have to admit though: the renders are just great. if it turns out only half as nice as on the pictures, it's going to be amazing.

It's neither. It's been approved and the units sold like hot cakes. Construction is set to commence very soon.

I take it this project has been delayed since no updates have arrived since August??? Is there another thread for this ongoing project?
