As RafflesCity said, be patient. It's not just to add a new building and that's it, it's more work behind it than people think. It WILL be added soon, so don't worry

First you create the thread, with pics and so on. Then you find no 100 (which becomes no 101) and push it off to Top 101-200, and then find and push 200 (which becomes 201) to Top 201-300, and then no 300 into the local sections. We don't update the numbers everytime we add a new building, but we do it a little now and then. Then you have to update the list of all the buildings (300). It doesn't sound that difficult, but it takes some time. And that's the inside-report from the ROT-section

In a month or two another Dubai tower has to be added to the list: The 211 m tall Grosvenor House Hotel by Le Meridien, followed in a month or so by the 220 m tall Al Seef Tower (res.) and then the 200 m tall Le Reve Tower, and by the end of the year, the Twin Al Fattan Marine Towers, 245 m each (res) have to be added also on the list.
Now there is a problem: Next year will be compleated The Jumeirah Beach Residence project, which has 36 residential tower, similar almost identical in style, but with different floor count, from 20 - 54. Several of them will over 200 meters tall. How will be these towers rated? As a complex or separately? The individual towers have no names, just number-codes. |

The general policy has always been the same here... When someone creates a proper ROT thread for a new 'ranked' building in the open area, we will take note of it. Once we have a group of new 'ranked' ROT threads to incorporate into the Top 300 list, we then add them. People MUST remember that when we update the list, we have to re-enumerate dozens or hundreds of threads. Thus, there is no way that we will ever update the entire list immediately. We will wait for a reasonable queue of new threads to build, and then add them in batches, to lessen what would otherwise be a crushing workload for our mods. I have personally always been of the opinion that the ranked lists should be updated about 3-4 times a year, and that's it. |

^Four times a year makes perfect sense. Now that April has come, hopefully the first update for 2005 should take place.

wjfox2002 I see you've closed the "New York New York, Chongqing" thread in 201-300. I know it shouldn't be there but could you or one of the other ROT mods unlock it and place it in the "other" section? I mean chongqinghero went to the trouble to make it (and it will be in the top 300 next update) so I think moving rather than locking would be reasonable.

There are two towers listed as #88, the new Chelsea Tower in Dubai, on the sticky thread and this tower in Perth, Australia: http://www.skyscrapercity.com/showthread.php?t=12111
How come? |

@AltinD: When we add a new building (like Chelsea Tower), we give it the correct rank in height (#88). However, the building which was #88 earlier (Central Park Tower), will still have #88 for a while, since we don't renumber all threads after each added building (it would take forever to do so). We don't re-number buildings very often since there are 300 threads which have to be re-numbered manually, and that takes some time.
To see the correct ranking, I'll recommend you to take a look in this thread: http://www.skyscrapercity.com/showthread.php?t=85276

http://www.skyscrapercity.com/showth...75#post4564275 Along with some great pics by Dubai-Lover. Whenever you update the list make sure to include this one. ![]() Will I post a thread in the Top 300 myself or do I have to wait for you guys to do it? Don't know how this really works. |

@malec and AltinD: I'll add both of the towers now
So malec you don't have to worry about making the thread yourself, I'll take care of that
