I hope nothing happens with Tour Phare.
I can't say the same about Nouvel's monolith

yes the investor Foncière des Régions finally found a buyer, Suez, to rent the majority available space of the building. This one will be renovated but not extended , starting this summer.
Too bad, look how would have been the skyline with CB31 Tower (first plan) and Generali (behind)

!

doesn't matter matter what can be built in LD, hermitage towers will ruin everything, the whole of skyline, no matter how beautiful they are...

I strongly disagree. Hermitage Plaza will become the icon of La Défense. They will give a new dimension to the distict both locally (inside Paris) and internationally.

Obviously you haven't paid enough attention to Foster's Project, otherwise you wouldn't say something like this. I would have certainly agreed if we were talking about the old "H"-shaped Ferrier's project, but I couldn't disagree more when it goes about Norman Foster's design.

In my opinion, considering Foster's Hermitage Plaza would ruin La Défense is like considering Notre-Dame ruins the Ile de la Cité. It doesn't make sense.

The height extension has been cancelled due to the frakking enonomic crisis?! This is bad news. An interior renovation would suffice, but not much is known about that plan.

Yes it's due to the enonomic crisis. The investor has prefer shortening the delivery of the tower and renting his tower for the end of 2010. Obviously there will be an interior renovation but also a recladding.

finally it may not be a problem because hermitage plaza is not really in the axis of CB31, gan & generali, and even T1 on the far right.
As you can see on this render:

The own problem is only with future Phare tower, exaclty behind, you can't see any part of the tower..!
