Anyone know if it was designated to stop at the Brétigny-sur-Orge station?

Edit: found out it wasn't meant to stop.

What a sad day for the Parisian railways. Some are saying this is worse than the Gare de Lyon incident in 1988.

And very puzzling.
Major works on the railtracks ealier this year. Might be related.
Let's hope there is nothing intentional in this.

Brétigny-sur-Orge station is only served by RER C, the intercity trains don't stop here.

Belgian newspaper "De Morgen" is reporting that apparently a defect on the rails was the cause of the accident and that the SNCF already confirmed this.

Still the big question, where do we put the Tangentielle Nord? In bus/tram thread or in suburban rail thread?

Tangentielle Nord work in Épinay - Villetaneuse

I'd go for the suburban rail thread. It's just that its rolling stock can also be used for tram/train lines. Maybe the decision will be more obvious when the STIF reveals how it will be branded ?

I agree, this why I put the Tangentielle Nord in this thread.

Z 50000.
After the H and P network, service of the Z50000 stock began on Transilien L.
For now, the Z50000 run on the short Saint-Lazare to Bécon-les-Bruyères local service (5.7km and five stops).

Z5000 at Bécon-les-Bruyères.

Z50000 of the L network have a shorter car in the middle because of the shorter platform.

Z50000 next to Z6400.

Chelles - Gournay
Z 50000 of the Transilien leaving Chelles to Meaux

Z 22500 or MI2N Eole leaving the station to Haussmann Saint-Lazare in Central Paris

Chelles - Gournay is the last stop of this branch of the RER E

Z 20500 or Z2N of the Transilien P passing through the station, you can also notice a Z 22500 of the RER E.

Mobilization to modernize the Paris RER

Prime Minister approves 7 billion of work on the Paris network. The RER "very sick" of the Paris network will benefit from 908 million in the next four years.

Like other regions, Ile-de-France will benefit 500 million committed this summer to renew Intercity locomotive. These trains provide large interregional including serving equally used by employees who work in Paris very peripheral cities.

Jean-Marc Ayrault should also remember this afternoon to advance its goal of 50% of the amount spent on mobility in future contracts between the State and region. The prefects will engage in that dialogue with the regional presidents. Mobility aspects of these contracts, which also include research, higher education and competitiveness should be drawn at the end of the year.

No but the old Z 5300 are being replaced by VB 2N (double decker cars in the last picture of my previous post).
With the arrival of the Z 50000 in the H, the former V2BN of the H are transfered to the N.
The VB2N are not new (built in 1975 for the oldest) but those cars have been heavily refurbished during the 2000's and are air conditioned.

Honestly I don't care about the old Z5300 because I rarely use them. But that's not the case with the V2BN and it's cool they have been refurbished in the 2000s, but honestly they suck now. As for the air conditioner... well it depends. In the last couple of days I'm not the only one to suffer from the heat in the train. That's why I asked whether news train sets are expected.

I'd also like to know whether a platform renovation for Versailles Chantiers is planned?
