I link the pictures of another great station, that was opened just a few years ago.

Its called "Messestadt West", what means "Trade-fair-area west"

I like especially how spacious and full of light all the new statinos are. You dont fell like in a subway at all. Everything is colourfull and big, no standart architecture.

Just the system itself would be worth visiting München for. Architecturally, it's one of the greatest systems around.

Munich public transportation is great. It had one of the best systems in Europe. My favorite U-bahn station is Goetheplatz, the only station in Munich that plays classical music 24/7.

There is classical music also in Prinzregentenplatz

Other cities should study Munich to see how a great public transportation network is designed, built, and maintained.

I agree with you on the operation and maintaining of the system, it's superb. But the general design of the system isn't as great because you ALWAYS have to go via the centre, no matter where you want to got because of the lack of tangential connections. This could be organized much better.

Btw., I prefer the OEZ-station, it looks like straight out of a science fiction movie.

Munich's subway is indeed amazing. I wish our system here in Vienna was as expansive (considering the cities are very similar in size) and as architecurally sophisticated.

Comfort-wise, there's hardly any noticeable difference between the new U-Bahn trains and the S-Bahn.

Well, considering the subway (u-bahn) only i would not know which system is better. In the outskits of the inner city probably munich one's is more dense. But in Vienna you have 5 independent lines with a much better service off peak. Off peak in Munich you habe only a 10 minute service at the streches where only one line is serving. That is pretty unfrequent!
Considering the suburban rail (s-bahn) Munich wins easily over Vienna but that is because there are more and bigger suburbs.

The old ones are more comfortable in my opinion (seats polstered, the C-stock has mostly wooden/plastic seats.
