The train does not run directly between these two cities. It makes a large detour, going through Croatia and making two border stops. It also changes four locomotives on its route and all of that discourages passengers to ride on it.

Unfortunately this is true. Standing on the borders, at least takes two hours. One day when the track reconstruction is completed, we can expect shorter journey times. Hello Co Co .

Hi, I'm a newcomer in here. I would like to know what are the express trains in Bosnia? And is there any train service that connecting to other European cities?

Bosnia only has on inter city train form Sarajevo to Budapest. Train number is 258/259. There are also several fast train from Sarajevo to Belgrad and Zagreb.

I hope that one day, a travel time between Sarajevo and Belgad will be 5 hour, like in the time when famosu train Bosna ekspres was driving.
