And that's my whole point, the latest design that was approved by the LPC is the one that has just been updated on the Hines website ( the one in the middle here on SSC) and I doubt there has been a redesign since so I believe this is the one that will be going forward.

Guess we'll find out when they release new renderings.

that is actually the first render i like about this building. it is one of the buildings i anticipated the least in the city, but that render actually looks good. hopefully my opinion will change on this tower with time. it happened before. i used to really not like taipei 101, but when i saw more and more pictures of it and read more about it i started to like it more and more and it not only grew on me but i started loving its uniqueness. may tower verre be another example of this. only time will tell. at least one angle i seem to rather enjoy now

Does Museum Tower have a thread? Looks like its gonna be 700ft. Only in New York does that go unnoticed

That's probably just an ad promoting its space. I guess the Verre is enough of a landmark to include in ads for other towers, despite not being built yet.

It will be much more of a landmark than the Museum tower for sure.

I've got to say, this is probably my favorite one in NYC getting ready to go up.

All this just means is we have another unidentified potentially supertall project looming in the background curtesy of Mr. Wanda. We may very we'll know soon.

Yep, 30 Park place is rising again.

I'm sure we will see more foreign investments by Chinese companies now government regulations have eased.

Hmmm.....Gary Barnett hints at something big coming up he wasn't ready to talk about yet at the end of the video. What new spectacular supertall could he be alluding to? We know about 225 W57th already... is it that or a mystery tower we'll be hearing about in the coming weeks or months?

He was talking about 225. He has another big project in Times Sq., but it won't be super-high end.

Do you know what it is? NOT super high end? actually that's a relief... as gorgeous and soaring as all these Central Park area towers will be they are out of the dreams of even conventionally wealthy people, the ones not making high eight, nine or ten figures. I LOVE New York, but the main problem is all this catering to the super high end crowd( as vigorous as that market is) without planning for the rest of us. Eventually the housing stock has to be expanded to the poor, working class, middle class as well.

I doubt there will be any affordable residential construction at all in the heart of Manhattan any time soon. It's just a too prestigious location for that kind of buildings, I think
