At what level will they change-over from concrete to steel?

I can not imagine that the total tower will be concrete, that will take an eternity to build...

First I had an impression that they were about to use some sort of rusty cladding, some of the renders suggested some brownish look of the building which I really liked, but I suppose this dark cladding is just as amazing.

The cladding looks pretty high quality. Can't wait to see more of it.

[QUOTE=ILNY;135593394]First glass is up !

Great shots of the glass and what the cladding will look like, man this thing is going to be better than the renders ... if that's possible!

Totally agree Jerseyviews, it very well could end up better than the renders, as crazy as it sounds.

The renderings were stunning but the real thing is nothing short of breathtaking. I didn't expect the cladding to be that dark, not only does it look amazing but it almost gives that building a personality unlike anything else in the city, that clear or blue glass is getting boring.
It should be nicknamed Darth Vader or the the Dark Knight with the almost menacing presence it will have.
Furthermore the structure itself is more impressive than even I expected, and to think it is barely of the ground....

Looking forward to Steinway following suit.

Just wow, outstanding -- I got goose pimples when I saw that, the actual materials meet and may even exceed the high expectations set by the renders! Can't wait to see this beast rise in the skyline!
