The curtain wall looks fantastic.

Ignore the low-post loonies.

Are you mad? Just compare the render with the actuall wall, will look a lot different.

Maybe should you seek advice from a specialist as Jean Nouvel is notoriously known for the exceptional quality/originality of the "skins"he dresses his buildings with.
There is not much scope for childish criticism about that piece of art...

I don't really mind the curtain wall (cladding) this is one of the msot complex, and nicely designed towers IMO of 2016.

Right now I'm more pleased with the actual wall than the render.

To me this tower will have one of the best curtain walls ever erected on a skyscraper. To say it is ugly and of bad quality is just plain ignorance.

Very jealous of NYC having this tower. It looks awesome.

Looks like ignorance trying to appear smart by being negative & dismissive: fail.
Looks like attention seeking.

This will be one of the key towers of the C.21st.

I can see how one would think this facad is cheap... but I think it may just be dirty. Lets wait for them to clean it before bashing it.

The first time I heard about this project I thought it was Tower Verde. Ever since I envisioned it as having a dark greet tint. The black and grey cladding looks good, but I kind of wish it had a hint of green.

It's weird coming back to this site and seeing projects that looked like they'd never launch finally going up. This looks great, one of NY's best imo.

It's doesn't look like they are slowed down one bit by the complicated formwork.

Besides, given all the expectations for this building, I think it can't help disappointing some people a little.
I don't really think that there is enough completed yet to make an accurate judgement about how it will look once completed.

I guess the reason why some people don't like this cladding is that it hides that kind of strength, inherent to such an amazing concrete structure, somehow? The result is outstanding and looks pretty cool anyway imo.
