It has now surely surpassed the FT tower and is at about the height of the Bacarat tower. So around 180m, 140 more to go.

I still think it's funny how this building appears stuck to FT Tower, like a giant knapsack of sorts.

After a long many years of people talking and agonizing over this tower like it was some mythical land of gold, I see it's actually being built. 'Bout time. This thing was proposed around 10+ years ago, my god!

It does! But I think they will make a nice pair; one short, squat, and silver while the other is tall, dynamic, and black.

In a way it will be kind of like 450 and 432 Park Avenue..a tall new skyscraper glomming onto a shorter elder, who serves as a kind of mentor figure. I love drawing personified skyscrapers, I should sketch this out. 1330 initially being annoyed by a clingy little youngling, but she soon begins to grow on him, literally and figuratively

What's amazing to me is that these supertalls are built on such small sites in NYC. Don't the neighboring buildings complain about now having a view of a wall outside of their windows? We are starting to see a little of this in Baltimore...highrises built on tight sites...

The sides that abut buildings have blank walls usually (the one thing most of us hate here on this forum in regards to buildings in NYC).
