This building looks like a symbiote ate it up. My favorite building u/c right now. I wouldn't mind going to Top of the Rock everyday just to see this up

I like this tower, but people just seem to be head over heels in love with it to absurd levels. It is almost an obsession to some. I suppose the tower is special enough to warrant the attention, but I will need to reserve my judgement until the final product is delivered before going nuts over the building myself. Something about the crown is not to my liking.

Yeah, it will look good on the skyline, especially from the Hudson view. The shape will break the typical boxy outline of most of NY's midtown profile. It just goes to show how nice it is to have something with an interesting shape, just like the Bjarke Pyramid, going up to break up the tiresome regularity.

While I agree with the deisgn of Tower Verre being a nice and fresh addition I think Bjarkes pyramids design is way too loud on the skyline and kills off the rather coherent and harmonious appeal of the skyline.

In the bigger picture (literally and figuratively) the sharp angles on these buildings will flow more with the skyline when 30 Hudson yards in topped off.

New York is the greatest skyline in the world, and from any angle. Aside from ESB and Chrysler (and the original WTC), no single building has the power to add or subtract more than 1% to or from the whole.

I like the pyramid except for the top. Those holes... ugh, those holes.

NYC is great and totally dense. I am glad it gets new tall peaks that break the plataeu and bring new dynamics to the skyline.

Verre will be massive from top of the rock, also CPT should reach the half way point soon. It´s now at around 200m. As a reference, that green dark tower infront of it, 888 7th avenue is 191,7m tall.

They won't do that. It would mess up the "natural" vision of the park as designed by Olmsted.

NEW YORK | Tower Verre - 53W53 | 320m | 1050ft | 77 fl | U/C

I wonder when some developers will realize a “Harlem” tower will have the same park view as these towers without the fight...
