It still has at least 200 feet to go. So while it won't be as tall as we'd all like, it will still have a strong presence in the skyline.

It looks like the first of the tri-colored peaks, the gold one, is starting to take shape.

It´s about 4-5 floors short of supertall height. If you consider in the bad weather and such, I would say this will top out by end of march.

Oh please. Those shadows are there briefly during morning and afternoon in the winter, and have been since the dawn of the skyscraper. I'm so sick of hearing about that overblown issue.

They should chop down all the trees in Central Park. Those make shadows too...

I think the people who were complaining about the shadows were more worried about their own sunlight in the Upper East and West Sides than in Central Park.

I did say it was part of living in the city, so calm down please. I was simply stating that they were right... including the shadows on Wolman Rink. And now I'll say that many who said it wouldn't happen were wrong. If that bothers you, I'm sorry. But there they are, right there in the picture, falling right across the very public Central Park.

And the map in the previous post is for the shadows on September 21, so that map is not a representative example of the shadows in winter. They stretch much farther northward into the park.

I don't care too much about the people on the upper east side. But having spent lots of time in Central Park, I understand the plight of the common man and what a reprieve the park is from the hustle of the city. Anyway...

For people who complaining about shows..

1. Earth is not flat

2. Earth is rotating around the sun

3. If you live in the city and complaining about shadows, you should really find another place to live outside a city

Some people here in Europe complain about shade every time someone build a tall building. Don't agree, but i could even understand to a point. But in New York...

Shadows are a serious problem. Please be a little bit more considerate.
