Wonderful news! This has to be my favorite project proposal, and it needs to be built! I can't wait to see this great New York landmark rise.

I'm That Bloody Pleased for you New Yorkers: this is great news.
In a French design magazine I picked up in France a week or so ago there was a brief article and a knockout pic of this tower and I had an anxiety attack in case it had been knocked back while I was away from my computer, but, no! It's (almost) on!

Sydney is getting a development called Fraser's Broadway designed by Jean Nouvel AND Norman Foster Associates (howzat!?) which is some consolation for not having a monumental skyscraper like the MoMA tower.

what a beautiful design, the support beams showing on the outside remind me of Hancock. Can't wait to see it!

New York is the only skyscrapercity on earth, the first suppertal was born a little 80 years ago. And now they still build supertals. old and new skyscrapers living together in harmony.

The TS hudson yard project suck their buildings were bland as hell. Any they thought they could get over on the MTA. And the MTA showed who had the upper hand I'm glad it's dead. Now I'm sure this will get approve but anything can happen.

Filler towers are bland as hell, and that is what they were; they were yet to be designed, and in the renderings/models, they were underscale and shorter than they should have been to prevent what's going on with the tower in this thread: idiot opposition against a great project, and if THAT is one reason why TS is being rejected, then shame on who ever is in charge of the process. At this point, it is stupid to think that one party which still wants the bid has no chance at winning because we are still so far from any skyscraper construction and it's clear that one party has lost its advantage, and, to add, any MP could be transformed into anything over time, say a dozen towers that look like the one in this thread; anything is possible.
