I think it's not approved yet since there is opposition to its construction.

It's absolutely gorgeous. Just as the ESB defined NYC during the 20th century, I don't think it's an understatement to say that Tour Verre will be the symbol of 21st century NYC. If only the surrounding midrises were not obscuring the view of it, it'd have real prominence in the city.

It got passed the NIMBY's, now the City will vote. No question, it will be approved.

This building screams NYC along with the Chrysler building, Roger's WTC 3 and the ESB.

I think it's in early Fall. The guys over at WiredNewYork.com would know best. They got some internal information from the City and various construction/techy firms.

OK, thanks man, I took a look at that page; couldn't find any info on this project. Perhaps you hold better insights on that page - a link?

I just cant believe how much this tower suits NYC. for me, it looks like a modern sister building to the Chrysler and ESB.
Definitely the best looking building since the Burj Dubai.

I try to avoid looking at anything related to Burj Dubai.

My vision of the future of New York consists of about 20 superscrapers north of the Brooklyn Bridge and South of the Empire State Building, where the shortest of those towers is about 1,500 feet all the way up to the tallest at 5,000 feet for luxury high rise living with designs that make every city gasp in awe.

Building on top of buildings. New New York sounds like something out of star war. We might even see supertalls in Queens and Brooklyn. God help us if they building them in Station Island or the Bronx. Then NYC would truly be the greatest city in the world.
