By the way, Extell has cleared (and is currently excavating) a huge site at 153-161 West 57th Street that will house another tower of 800 to 1,000 feet which is likely to be designed by Portzamparc. It will be visible in this cluster as well.

NYC RULES!!!!
I couldnt agree with you more!! There are so many supertalls proposed/under construction/in prep right now in NYC. The Freedom Tower, 200 Greenwich St, 150 Greenwich St, the Girasole, MOMA, the Midtown Towers proposal.....and the list goes on. Slowly but surely NYC is rebuilding itself from the ashes of 911 and once again re-establishing itself as the skyscraper king!!

It reminds me of the John Hancock Ctr in Chi, it looks ok, though better renders are needed. Great to hear of another supertall for NY.

Interesting. The top of the building looks strange. I wonder how it will look from a front view rather than a side one...

It certainly makes up for the deferential and polite modernism that comprises the rest of the complex.
Hell of a skyline addition, too.

This resized rendering shows the soaring quality of this tower...

While not the highest, the GE deck will have the best views of any observation deck
in town...

No, Museum Tower is that greenish building (already built) where NYguy wrote the words on that photo.
