Here is a documentary aired last week on french TV about Jean Nouvel.

You can see him working on a mockup of the Tour de Verre close to the begining of the video (after 3mins).

This would be the real deal if it gets built. I didnt expect it to stand out like that dough, I probably assumed other buildings surroundin it were higher ??!!

No, there are not really many other buildings of this size in the area near the Empire State Building. I am glad that this will ad some density!

I love this tower fit's New York. and love the first pic ( the brown New York, so '30's) and the last pic you can see how incredible high it is. If i had the money I would pay easily 40 mil for it

DOH! I think I misunderstood this sentence: 30 to 9 in favor means 30 against and 9 in favor.

guys, "voted 30 to 9 in favor" is a reason to be happy: "in favor" is tied to "voted". As an english speaking individual, it means that 30 were "in favor" and 9 against it.
Pretty easy, I can't see where the problem is.
