I don't see this tower come near the construction speed of 432. Would be great however.

This will add a new Dynamic to New York IMO, sure 432 Park Avenue and One57 are cool, but this just screams architectural beauty to me!

No edgy and angular has always been exciting (London Shard, Bank of China etc). In fact, it could be just as interesting or more so than curvy organic towers (tastes will differ obviously). Perhaps you are referring to simple boxy towers that many find boring?

^ With the superstructure our for bid, and permits being filled, it's pretty certain this will start in the next few months.

i think this is still out for a GC bid.

if hines awarded the job to a GC tomorrow, it would be 6 months before work started

Cool. How do you guys know it's out for bid? Do you work for engineering firms? Thanks for the info.

in the business.

i know that the GCs are currently bidding on the project. so until hines awards the project, the GCs cannot begin to buy out the job.

have to figure 4-6 months for them to do their purchasing/award and preplanning

6 more months before we see any activity eh? Oh well, more waiting.

Until then, I guess all we have to look forward to are more renders.

But the good thing is that it's moving. In light of Hines' clout, they should have no problem with financing.
