At about 315m, it's still pretty tall.

it should be tall enough to be seen from Jersey, and at 100 ft taller than Citigroup it will dominate views from Queens

Just look at One57 (Aprox 50ft shorter than Tower Verre) and move it 4 blocks south! You will definitely see Tower Verre and it will stand out!

View from queens/ east river side:
Tower Verre would most probably be located just south of that tall black building right by the Sony building. (sorry don't know what that buildings name is)

Then line it up just a little higher than the top of the crane on One57 and Tower Verre's presence would be seen without a question.

I keep forgetting how big this will actually be. One57 dominates those photos and this will surpass it comfortably!

From this angle 432 Park will look incredibly. I love Verre but I love 432 Park even far more

Btw, Citigroup and 157 have quite similar tops. They'll look very good together once 157's cladding is completed

Yea! 432 would be so dominating in height that would be located just right in front of that Sony building in the pic above.

I love 432 PA a lot and if I had the pleasure to purchase an apartment between Tower Verre and 432... I would have to go with 432. The windows and views from that building is outstanding.

I think I would never EVER leave my apartment. Although, I would have to act quickly cuz 432 is ahead of the game with other projects and they are selling like pancakes!

Oh... and if that Gal in Harry Macklowe's $1m budget commercial will greet me every morning!!! so help me god. hehe.

Tower Verre or Nordstrom would not be a bad alternative though.

I don't know, I'd go with TV because it's right in the middle of Times Square, 42nd Street, Park Avenue, and 57th Street. Plus the building looks diabolically evil...

Fist of all let me say I think Tower Verre is, in my opinion, the best designed skyscraper in the modern/glassy era!!! Just my opinon!
Now as far as where I'd rather live, I agree with you guys that it's a tough call between 432 Park and TV...but if the renders haven't changed and the apartments still look like this, I'm going with TV. It just looks like living in a masterpiece, the apartment itself is art!! The views are pretty sick too! But since I can't afford it, I can't wait to enjoy it from the outside, Hurry up Hines!!!

this and 56 leonard are easily my two favorites. If they both get built, I will be so happy. They are both complex but elegant. I would probably rather live in 56 because of location.

Why don't you like midtown?

BTW this tower looks amazing, but if it was higher... It also has one of the greatest location in NY as well, I like it. Hope it will be built very soon.

I forgot about those interior shots. They definitely look cool, but practically, won't those beams cast a lot of shadows and obstruct views? You can see why somebody dropping 8-figures on a condo would prefer the gigantic square panes of 432 Park, or the just-about unobstructed curtain walls of 56 Leonard. After all, next to location, the view is the biggest selling point of these ultralux condos, especially from an investment standpoint.

But it is too damned sexy from outside, and since I likely will never see it from the inside out, who am I to say?

As for dominance on the skyline, I will always think it deserves more. It's the best designed of this new wave of towers, but it's going to be overshadowed before it even gets off the ground. Given the rise of 432P and 225 w57, this should at least be ESB height.

Have I mentioned that I hate Amanda Burden lately?

I am happy with the building regardless of its height, it looks perfect to me. My problem is where will TV stand amongst the other towers in the city considering all the new monsters that will be going up in the few years (225 w57, 432 Park, Hudson Yards North Tower, the WTC towers....,). There's clearly a race for who will be the "King of New York" and I so wish it would be TV. This Tower feels and looks New York. Were it to be be the tallest in the city, it would no doubt be the modern day Empire State Building. Wouldn't that be great if they picked the design of TV for 225 w57?!
