My longest distance is from Vimercate (Lombardy) to Melilli (Sicily). 1.410 Km. I came back immediately after have shipped the furnitures, so in total was 2.820 Km in two days. http://g.co/maps/4fd7h

Driving abroad instead, the longest distance is from Vimercate to Amsterdam, around 1.100 Km

Wonderful bogdymol! Nice record! It's not easy to be the only driver in long distances!

My personal record is Brussels (Belgium) - Cenad (Romania) - 1600 km (18 hours) without major stops (several short stops, but not more then 15 minutes). I did this 8 times until today!

If you were the only driver during those 8 trips you are crazy. I woudn't even try to drive that much, but I would search for a hotel to have few hours of sleep at half the distance.

The longest distance I've driven was last year in Russia from Murom town to Sankt-Petersburg ~1050 km with one short stop on M10 for a lunch brake.

You are right! It's a little bit crazy, but I have a great co-pilot (my wife) and near 200.000 km experience.

And do not forget! My XC60 is a very comfortable car. I do not feel tired as a lot of people do in a normal car. I know what I'm saying because I have another car (a Skoda Roomster) and I didn't manage to drive until Cenad (I stopped to Nickelsdorf).

My longest non-stop drive was 1200km between Paranaguá and Belo Horizonte (well, I did have to stop to eat and fuel twice and for about half an hour near São Paulo when it started to hail...) in about 14 hours.

The longest one I did was a round-trip between Belo Horizonte - Cuiabá - Campo Grande - Dourados - Três Lagoas - Ribeirão Preto - Belo Horizonte. 4200km in 6 days, driving from 7am to 7pm, as the only driver since my friend didn't have a Brazilian license. And I had to drive very slowly in the west, sometimes as low as 40km/h or 50km/h, since I was inspecting road conditions.

Map (ignore detour between E and F - Google doesn't seem to know there is a bridge in point E )

Then, two weeks later, I did 3000 km in 3 days

Furthest I've driven was from Miami to Boston, approximately 1,600 miles - and I've done it twice in just 2 weeks, now I'm here permanently. I did this over 3 days, but could have done it in 2.

My longest non-stop trip was Dortmund (D) - Amarante (P) for Holiday (several times): 2100km in about 18h in 2007. Since then I prefer the plane.

Driving with a sick child from Etosha in Namibia to Johannesburg (via Upington) in South Africa - 2200km. 1.5 days with brief sleepover at road-side outside Olifantshoek.

I regularly travel the 1400km between Johannesburg and Cape Town at night - leaving Johannesburg after work and breakfast in Cape Town. Stopping only for fuel and coffee (lots of it).

Time to update...
The most I've done in a day was a roadtrip to Ariza I did last year (Actually was sightly more than a month ago). I drove 400 kilometers, with the way back being the longest straight shot I've ever driven at a bit more than 200 km. However I did a stop in the Southwestern outskirts of Zaragoza. The longest I ever driven without any stop was Huesca-Caspe via Zaragoza, 175 km but actually took longer than the way to Ariza due to that one being motorway all the way.

Longest mileage on a trip: 8,000km driven on 8 days during a 14-day trip with one driver only (2x3 days just "relaxing" = not driving).
Longest one-day trip: 1,600km in 17h w/o nap, one driver (300km 2-laned road abroad, 950km motorway abroad, 350km motorway in Germany).
Longest distance w/o any stop: should be 500km mostly on German Autobahns (4-4,5h).

Longest drive in one day (as time): 17 hours + 1 one from diferent time zone. Great sunny day as we left Dubrovnik, great scenery in eastern Bosnia ans western Serbia, but after Cacak we had to make a detour as one road was closed (don't know if I find the right path on the map now). After that we had only trouble (as we were without GPS and for the first time around Belgrad): not going through Smederovo, not finding our route in Belgrade, leaving Pancevo towards Kovin and not toward Vrsac as it was our initial plan, and so on...
I was the only driver, we had only 2-laned road as A1 in Roumania wasn't opened (except for some 30-40 kilometers on motorway near Belgrade).

Longest drive in one day (as distance):
- again as the only driver, again without GPS. This time a longer distance on motorway on the beautiful Egnatia Duos, with breakfast in Veroia and confusing Kavala with Kulata (hence the detour towards Drama). After that, north through Bulgary as I really wanted to see the bridge over Danube between Vidin and Calafat which was opened days before.
