Ah, South of the Border! No one does "roadside attractions" like the good ol' USA.

My longest trips:
Longest trip in one day: Cecina(south of Livorno)-Utrecht in 15 hours, via Gotthard-Basel-Metz-Luxemburg

Longest trip in terms of time spent: Amsterdam-Tignes in 26 hours (due to heavy snowfall and French gendarmerie closing off all exits from the main road which meant that all traffic had to take just one road)

Longest trip in terms of distance covered: Amsterdam-San Sebastian-Madrid-Lissabon-Madrid-Barcelona-Perpignan-Amsterdam in 10 days time.

My record hasn't improved much since the opening of this thread, still at the 350km range with and without stopping since I've done this trip many times. So longest one day travelling is around 700km there and back. UK- London to Liverpool back to London, same day, return trip after working a full day

Still a relatively poor effort for a highways lover but hey blame the small Island i live in lol. Should be doing a London to Paris suburbs this year

Hmm, from London to northern Scotland it's over 1,000 km.

My small contribution to this thread:
Bayonne (Basque Country- France) - Marsala (Sicilia-Italy) : 2550 km only by highways in Italia (around 35 hours to go there) with a return by the SS1 -E80 between Roma and Livorno (more quiet) with 2570 km = 5120 km in 4 days for an emergency transport.

My longest distance was several times Germany-Portugal and back > 2.100km one way.

Last Autumn I drove only in one week there plus a one day trip about 1.200km inside Portugal. In total I drove in 10 days 6.300km

Nice thread! Will read back right after I put my records here.

Longest worktrip in one shift (cabdriver) : 1164 km, driving all around the country.
Longest holidaytrip: about 1400 km, departure from Vonyarcsvashegy at Balaton around 10 am via Cesky Krumlov to The Netherlands, arriving at 6am next day. Took about 3 hours off in Krumlov, rest in one drive only stopping for gas.

Houston, TX - Kansas City, MO approx 800 miles (1300 km) via Dallas, Oklahoma City and Wichita, driven in one day in a Ford Escort, after a night of interrupted sleep. Not recommended.

You must have exceeded some speedlimits there, knowing US roads are slow. And probably no traffic at all?

Yes, but is that even possible? Maintaining the same speed for 25 hours?

I have two trips competing for longest trip.

First one with bus from Solrød Strand south of Copenhagen to Calella just north of Barcelona and reverse a week later.

Next one is from Køge (also south of Copenhagen) to Balatonfüred in Hungary.

The trip down was a little bit shorter as we took the Gedser Rostock ferry and drive via Berlin and Dresden, Prague and Bratislava.

The drive back was a little bit different as we were taking the Puttgarden Rødby ferry instead.

The quickest route would have been to drive via Berlin and then take the autobahn towards Hamburg.

But my brothers was so clever so they headed from Dresden to Leipzig and westwards towards Wolfsburg or Hannover (I'm not sure with one) before heading north towards Hamburg and later Puttgarden.

I've beaten you on that one: Stockholm via Puttgarden and Magdeburg to Valencia in 2 days....

Others are UK to respectively Mo-i-Rana, Athens, Gibraltar, Helsinki and Tallinn.

Also London-Turin-Helsinki.
