Longest drive for me so far

Santa Rosa, CA to Orem, Utah 789 miles
Seattle to Santa Rosa, California 823 miles
Orem, Utah to Seattle, WA 877 miles

My friend (she wasn't alone, took turns driving) recently had a trip from Seattle, WA to Highland, Michigan at 2,333 miles which took 3 days.

There is a difference between longest and most extreme, 1000+ kms on German Autobahns is way easier than 600 kms on Norwegian highways. Believe me, I've done both...

Longest, approx 1000 kms on German Autobahn - somewhere in south Bavaria to Flensburg. Toughest drive, 680 kms Stavanger-Eidsvoll in proper winter conditions. Longest drive in Norway, 900 kms Trondheim-B° i Vesterňlen (including a ferry!).

Before I got my licence, I took part in a couple of spectacular ones: 1400 kms Oslo-B° i Vesterňlen (including the aforementioned ferry...), 2000 kms Finnmark-Oslo through Sweden.

from Angers, France to Budapest, Hungary.
1900km, 21hours, w/co-pilot

http://maps.google.com/maps?f=d&hl=h...,27.641602&z=6

Unfortunately this was not the best route, the following is shorter by 130km and 2 hours:

For quite some people such distances are just a commute.

My family has made the drive from Stockholm, Sweden to Casablanca, Morocco every summer for over 20 years. For the last few I have been the driver. It's a bit shorter now since the rapid expansion of motorways in Spain, but it's still 4300 kms (2670 miles).

My record time for that trip (incl sleep, rest stops and three ferry crossings) is 54 hours. While ignited, the average speed of the car was about 100 kmh (62 mph).

Nowadays it is cheaper by plane, with low cost airlines!

Yeah, if there had been any direct route from Sweden. You can only get as far as Malaga. Plus there are some other advantages taking the car, like you get to see Europe and when in Morocco you need to have a car to get around. Plus maintenance on the car is waaay cheaper down there so you save a few coins on that.

13 hours for 865 km at a speed of 145km/h on average? Something is wrong there

I drove 600 km yesterday without any stop, from Aabenraa (DK) to Zwolle (NL). I think that's the longest i've driven without any stop.
