I think there is no problem with the existing two runways in the near future, although they qualify only as 1.6 effective runways, as they are crossing each other in their extensions.
PAX capacity of the entire runway-system would be about 30m, i guess. with the latest PAX numbers being at about 22m, there still is room for more.
as for the general development of aviation and transportation, a third runway is indeed necessary to be prepared for rising PAX numbers in the not-so-near future.

what do you think (or are there any rumours maybe), could some A380 service be possible in near future at Vienna? EK maybe?

Yes, EK was interested in using the A380. Their application was denied from the Austrian aviation authority in the first instance. They still fight over that topic, since it is pretty clear that the authority was just protecting OS/LH.

Emirates A380 lands in Vienna
Taken at Vienna International Airport, Austria
In May 2014, Emirates operated a one-off A380 to Vienna to mark its 10-year anniversary and continued commitment to Austria. It was the first ever commercially scheduled A380 service to Vienna International Airport. This important milestone was witnessed by many plane spotters, and here are some of their best photos taken on the day.

Vienna Airport train station completed

The underground train station at Vienna airport has been completed. Now also international ICE trains operate at the station, together with the allready existing regional trains and the CAT - City Airport Train.
Zechner & Zechner architects http://www.zechner.com, who allready designed the airport tower, are also responsible for this train station.

Quite common in Vienna though. There are free wifi spots all over the place. IIRC the Vienna Lines are now also introducing wifi at their subway stations.

Check-in in the city is an interesting feature that I haven't seen elsewhere.

We have it in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. You can check in at the KL Sentral railway station, and then your checked-in bags will be sent to the airport on the express train with you onboard. We don't have it for arrivals though.

As for me, shame that there are no sitting places before passport control. Unfortunately, I used only T-1, but it has shared arrival zone with T-3.

Had no idea despite visiting Moscow on many occasions. What airports/stations are eligible?
