Well, isn't that the reason for the website, to discuss skylines and skyscraper architecture? I'm glad I have a website where I can go to where my interest doesn't seem too strange because finally there are other people I can discuss this type of thing with who are as into it as I am. Aside from that, I believe if there is enough money in the world to bank roll a building boom this big, then they should do more with that money to fix the world. They should contribute more to building more roads, expanding Metrorail, and everybody getting a fair wage for the important jobs that rich people are too rich to do, but they aren't going to listen to me. So I've decided to just enjoy all the new architecture, whatever goes up, because I have no control over the powers-that-be and what they want to do. My young, idealistic, change-the-world days are over. I just want to quietly live out the rest of my life as comfortably as they powers-that-be will allow while enjoying the new architecture going up.

Yeah...that was a good one. I'm a subscriber as well...but The Economist isn't my favorite. In fact, that Jaws cover reminded me of the cover of my favorite magazine of all time....MAD.

I just started watching "Burn Notice" from FX with Jeffrey Donovan, because it's filmed in Miami. The show is really cool.
Miami look great everywhere

Now Dexter which has been on Showtime for sometime is now on CBS on sundays, the show for those that didnt know is about a cop/investigator in Miami (big shocker) that kills killers.
Its actually a good show, but just keeps going with the same Miami stereotype about crime and murder. And from watching it, im pretty sure the show is shot on location in Miami. Also in the TV/Movie subject two different movies will begin production at the end of this month in Miami, Marley and Me starring Jennifer Aniston & Owen Wilson, Just from the actors I would guess its a romantic comedy. And Miami Freeze starring Rene Zellweger and also sounds like a romantic comedy. Also The Today Show will do their whole show from Miami at the end of this week. Lets see if they'll choose Downtown or the Beach. And makes you wonder why'll they choose Miami to broadcast from, like CBS is it to show the whole country Miami's RE condition, or just to travel some. |

Dexter was originally shot on location. I believe the last season on Showtime was not filmed in Miami. The Today show is going to be at the Loews Hotel on Miami Beach. Oh, I thought Miami Freeze was the sequel to Cocaine Cowboys.

The Today show is coming for the Food and Wine Festival, so they will be on the beach. Amazing the attention the festival now gets. This will be the first one I miss in five years.

Sony was recently in town doing a comercial called "Foam City" and they flooded Downtown Miami streets with foam and filmed a comercial. No idea what they're trying to do with this but very cool they chose Dwntwn Miami and the whole thing looks pretty cool.
Articles and pics: http://www.joshspear.com/item/sonys-foam-city/ http://commercial-archive.com/node/142951 http://www.photographybay.com/2008/0...s-event-miami/ Here some videos I found online from people that were there. Last edited by Hia-leah JDM; March 17th, 2008 at 08:10 AM. |

![]() Film brings Bollywood to the beach Watch out Jennifer and Owen. Priyanka and Abhishek are in town. Priyanka Chopra and Abhishek Bachchan are the stars of the first major Bollywood production to call South Florida home. Production began Friday on Dostana, an Indian musical comedy set in the Miami area. The production is expected to have all the kitschy trappings that have made Bollywood movies such a hit worldwide, including a zany musical number to be filmed on Miami Beach's Lincoln Road. But don't look for traditional Indian garb -- in this movie, four young Indians find themselves in love and in Miami. ''It's a very youth-oriented film,'' said executive producer Prashant Shah. India's young moviegoers ``wouldn't accept us putting Indian costumes in South Beach.'' Dostana's $2 million budget doesn't approach the $10 million being spent on the Jennifer Aniston-Owen Wilson movie, Marley & Me, being filmed in Coconut Grove. But the spending roughly matches what an independent film would bring to the area, said Jeff Peel, production coordinator for Miami-Dade County. Chopra and Bachchan are major stars in India, and Dostana (roughly translated as ''friendship'') is the first major Indian movie to be set entirely in Miami, Shah said. The production team is building a carnival-like set on Miami's bayfront and prepping for next month's dance number in South Beach. The plot: one beautiful woman, three handsome men. All of the guys find themselves falling for her. Hilarity and spontaneous song follow. ''No nudity,'' Shah explained. ``No bloodshed.'' http://www.miamiherald.com/news/brea...ry/465341.html

I never had a speaking role. I was always an extra in the background on Miami Vice, but I did a lot of it, and people actually recognized me whenever I would go out just from seeing me in the background all the time like that.

You just have some pictures professionally made and draw up a resume with whatever you've done whether it be high school drama club or local amateur theater.
