Funny though

I don't really like these funky designs, looks a little try hard. The towers proposed for China look much better than these.....ughh

Sorry for the off-topic, but does anyone know where can I find a complete and updated list of skyscraper projects going on in NY? I'm quite excited with this boom and I'd love to make a thread about these projects in another forum without spending too much time

Not really dead, just postponed for a long time. Something will rise there, something at least the height of the old proposal that utilizes the full 2.5m air rights. Anyways, lets get back to the topic of the thread.

King of the Yard: Related’s Jay Cross on Reimagining the Far West Side:

http://commercialobserver.com/2013/0...far-west-side/

"You broke ground on the project with the 1.7-million-square-foot, 51-story south office tower late last year. What’s the status there, and how important was the commitment by Coach?

Its delivery is for mid-2015, and it should be occupied by the end of 2015. Next, we would hope that by January 2014 we would start construction to the north, where the foundations of the retail and the north office tower are."

If you count the T/O ones, then New York has currently 58 buildings exceeding 200m.

But the North Tower got a height increase, from 1292' to 1337'.

If everything goes according to plan we could witness 4(!) 400m+ towers rise side by side at the same time: 225W57th, 432 PA, 2WTC and HY North.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of..._New_York_City
there are 57.

Hopefully 1wtc won't be in that list.
