Most of the towers planned for 11th Ave., such as Girasole and Rockrose's 39th street site, have a mix of office and condos. If Related puts a 1m sf condo above 750k sf of office space, we could easily have a 500m tower on this site. Recall that Related's focus is residential -- not office.

i was afraid with new york getting so many slim, "unique-designed" towers, new york would turn into a dubai marina, but this area shows me that big, modern glass monsters still get a chance to make for a beautiful eye-catcher

But it's not all good, isn't this going to kill related's mcdonald's/coach site that you've mentioned?

Why would it kill that site?

Well, why would Related compete with itself? It'll have to wait for north tower, one hudson site, and the phase 2 office building before going up no?

Yes. Most likely, Related will build the two 33rd St sites in phases. However, unlike Extell, it might shift part of One Hudson from office to residential.

If anything Related will build the One Hudson site quicker than Extell could have since Barnett was content to wait for premium rents.

Plenty of critical users to the forum like RW have already said that. It's not a big deal. I actually think it's pretty funny.

What in the exact **** is going on with that building? This render makes whatever that is look geometrically impossible. Is there a better render available?
