That's actually an old render VG. The One Hudson Yards renders did the same to related with some super generic versions of HY in the background.

The e tower one you posted further up the page is new though.

On this Masterplan HY Map. I think they have the location of One Hudson Yard Blvd site located in the wrong spot. I always thought that parcel was located right across from the E Tower on the western part of Hudson Park Blvd.

Looks like they marked the mcdonalds spot that Walpole had mentioned could be big, as one hudson. I think Related now owns both. All those above 33rd are now a mystery since one hudsons design is probably out the window. Walpole mentioned condos being a possibility.

edit: And I meant the render is the same, nothing changed at Hudson Yards as far as I can tell.

Wow! It appears Related may have that McDonalds site if they marked it on their map for One Hudson Blvd.

I wonder what Related has up their sleeve for the previous Extell's One Hudson Blvd site if they do have this parcel?

Maybe they build condo's there and transfer a good chunk of the air rights to that McDonalds site which probably has loads of air rights to begin with and build a super/ mega-tall office building?? It appears it has a pretty huge foot print.

I hope so. If we are lucky Mcdonalds site and the ugly bladerunner trapezoid that Brookfield has will do battle for tallest in the west side.

Well I hope you folks are right. I doubt they would waste precious air rights and not build buildings as tall as these rights allow. Land is precious in Manhattan, especially in a location like the Hudson Yards because it might be a wasteland now, but in a decade it'll be one of the most prominent spots in Manhattan

Hi, everyone.

I'm back from a multi-day suspension for commenting that a certain city has boxy buildings. Apparently, people are permitted to criticize only NY.

Anyway, I don't believe that Related owns the McDonalds site yet or the three small buildings in front of it. An ACRIS search would reveal the owners. I believe that the portion Related already controls carries around 2m sf of rights, and the McDonalds portion probably carries about the same. Thus, the area between 33rd and 34th and between the future Hudson Blvd. and 10th Ave carries around 4m sf, which is colossal.

Oh Mr. Walpole! Got yourself in some trouble eh? I wonder what city thread got you suspended?? Anyway, glad your back. Maybe you can answer my question.

Why did Related mark One Hudson Blvd on the McDonalds site when the site should have been on the western side of the HY Blvd Park? Typo?

I did not think the McDonalds site was sold in the past and frankly I haven't heard the site is up for sale either. One thing I know is that McDonalds got themselves a golden property located right in the middle of Yards. Related should make an offer that Micky D's can't refuse.

One Hudson Yards is Extell's former site that Related bought. What's marked on the map is the old Coach site, which Related calls One Hudson Blvd. This map was made before Related's deal with Extell. Everything that Related owns is lightly colored, and parcels that it did not own at the time are shaded in darker color.

P.S.: Related likely will gain control of the McD's site.

Wait..where would that McDonalds site be located on that map? I thought it is where it' s marked 1 HY Blvd.

Anyway that site marked One Hudson Blvd by Related is completely new to me. Did Related release any plans or renders for that site? Thanks

Criticizing New York, and especially its newer skyscrapers, is a national sport is some parts of this forum. But New Yorkers are cool and confident enough, so most of the time criticism just bounces off.

That's true. Since most Yanks have an insecurity complex about NY, they are permitted to insult it.
