After all, this design is new (current version) or old?

In my opinion this is the best design.

I think minus the support element for the North Tower observation deck.

I thought they had, but I could be wrong. It is definitely much more successful architecturally speaking without the visible support.

I don't know, but I agree about the support.

I still canīt believe that we went from the generic stacked boxes bullshit, to the design that they currently build. Itīs just luck on an epical scale. And the news that almost the entire phase 1 will be build simultaniously is just insane.

LAF2 and Sbarn are correct. That is the current design, but for the "support" under the observation deck.

I agree. I like a 'floating' deck without visible supports.

I also prefer it without the support. The protruding deck looks awesome.

That latest render is awesome with the darkness, but indeed when it ''floats''.

Where's the space for the Culture Tower?

They are neat renders, but where is there room for the Culture Tower?
The area to the west of the Culture Shed seems pretty small in the east-west dimension.

Is the Culture Tower/15 Hudson Yards still a real future project?

I'm on mobile so it is hard to tell but I believe you are right about a lack of room. However this daytime render does not have the observation deck support meaning it is the updated version. Too much money is riding on a residential success. If they plan on building 3 million square feet at 2 Hudson you can bet on all the residential going through too. I hope it all happens in the same time span, imagine all those cranes...

Absolutely! 15 HY is scheduled to break ground in 14' and completed by 16'. It is the first of the residential to go online courtesy of Reltated Cos.

Keep in mind this tower will be conjoined with the Culture shed.

Here is a model of the tower. This will give you an idea how they will be building the tower with such a small space as it is incorporated into the large base of the Shed.

Here's a new diagram they posted to the HY Facebook page today. You can really see here how tiny 15 HY's footprint is.

Also of note, it looks like they're continuing the new naming scheme beyond 33rd st. 1 Hudson Blvd is now 55 Hudson Yards and 3 Hudson Blvd is 50 Hudson Yards....

Is it just me or does the design of 35 HY look totally unrecognizable here?

I also noticed that 35 Hudson Yards aka the Equinox tower is officially a supertall. 1000 ft according to the website.
