Hudson Yards' FB page released a 60 second time lapse of the site over the past year. I cannot embed it here, but it's definitely worth the watch!

In that exhibit I guess we'll now if they actually reduced the height.
If you ask me, I prefer something loke this (an increased 30 Hudson Yards and a decreased 35 HY)

The E tower looks to be as high as the observation deck which is 1080 ft, the north tower definitely does not look like it shrunk, i think it's just the e tower being much taller now makes it look shorter.

I'm disappointed (again). Disliked this (possible) height reduction. Even if it's little difference, to me is a big change. The 411 meters it was no big deal, but good enough, now 382 meters? Unbelievable...

And we should not compare ourselves with American cities, but with the rest of the world. We want the best.

Consider the other cities in NY's league: London, Paris, HK, Tokyo. None of them have any 1250 foot towers under construction.

I think one of the biggest reason for the height increase of the Equinox is to offer better unobstructed views! That way there will be more floors/ apts that can look over both the culture and coach towers and more apts with views over Extell tower for northern views. If this is the thinking, maybe Related should just make the Equinox at 1,200 ft at least.

If you want Mustang/apartment fantasies I recommend a San Francisco apartment in the late '60s with Jacqueline Bisset as your girlfriend, ala Bullitt. Be sure to check out the music also...

North Tower (30 Hudson) to have underground connection to #7 subway station:

Interesting: I wonder how that will be accomplished. One of the things I've noticed is the elevation difference between the still-being created Hudson Blvd/Park at 33rd street and the current 33rd st. Namely that the current 33rd st is considerably lower than Hudson Blvd Park. Maybe they'll put the "direct-connection" passageway under a raised/restructured 33rd street...

Who cares about the quantity of meters of the tower. The proportions are all off now. This tower went from being relatively graceful to fat and ( in my opinion) seriously mishapen. 300 meters or 400 meters, the height really doesnt matter as much as the design. This design just doesnt work at the decreased height.

the design is meant to compliment 10 HY, they're supposed to compliment each other. And, well, 10 HY is short and fat. If anything they're both more alike now.

Thats one of the main problems of the height decrease. This development has no defined centerpiece now. This project is becoming an aesthetic bore.
