Corrections & Amplifications
A Related Cos.-led group is nearing a deal to buy Time Warner Inc.'s Manhattan headquarters, about 1 million square feet of office space within the larger Time Warner Center at Columbus Circle. An earlier version of this article incorrectly said the Related group was near a deal to buy the Time Warner Center
This does not change anything in regard to Time Warner moving to the Yards.

Note:
I included the Phase 1 HY Towers because Related states all Phase 1 will be under construction by this year.

VG, my friend, you missed the tower that has been the talk of the universe today, 220 CPW. You're slippin' lol.
If my counting is correct we have 14 towers 200m+ rising or being finished this year.

432Park
1WTC
30HY
3WTC
TV
One57
4WTC
10 HY
30 Park Place
220 CPW
45 east 60th st
56 Leonard
50 West street
605 W 42nd

I'm not counting Nordstrom, Steinway, 15 & 35 HY yet cause we haven't heard anything about financing, tho they are scheduled to start this year so expect this number to be higher by the end of the year.

Ha ha.. with the amount of developments going on currently in the city even IBM's Mr Watson would slip a little.

I thought 2013 was a great year but I think 2014 will be insane.

As expected...

Time Warner Announces a Move From Columbus Circle to Hudson Yards
http://www.nytimes.com/2014/01/17/ny...ards.html?_r=1

Quote:
Time Warner Inc. announced Thursday that it plans to move its headquarters from Columbus Circle to a new 80-story skyscraper on the Far West Side of Manhattan, ensuring the development of a vast complex of office towers, residential buildings, a shopping mall and a park over an active 13-acre rail yard.

At the same time, Time Warner announced that it is selling its existing headquarters, about 1 million square feet, in what is known as the Time Warner Center at Columbus Circle, for $1.3 billion to a partnership of two sovereign wealth funds and Related Companies.

Time Warner anticipates that in 2019 it will consolidate its executive offices and its HBO, Turner Broadcasting and Warner Bros. divisions in the base of a newly opened 1,227-foot-tall tower at the southwest corner of 10th Avenue and 33rd Street.

Until then, Time Warner will remain at Time Warner Center, a two-towered complex built by Related Companies, the same developer behind the Hudson Yards project.

Time Warner would bring about 5,000 employees to a once industrial neighborhood on the West Side, immediately establishing a new business and residential district, much the way Time Warner did when it moved to Columbus Circle in 2004.

“The sale of our office space in Time Warner Center to Related Companies and its partners is an important step toward moving our New York City-based employees into a dynamic new complex that will foster even more collaboration, creativity and efficiency across our businesses,” said Jeff Bewkes, the chairman and chief executive of Time Warner.

As expected.. but 1,227 ft?? Math tells me that's worse than 1255 ft!

From that article:

What is weird is that on the website the have been very consistent with changing 35 and 15 hudson yard's heights, but still haven't touched this one's. I believe it still says 1337 ft.

actually those figures for 35 and 15 on the their Website just recently been updated to reflect the new heights.

I'm bummed if this will be the real height. I'd rather take the 1,255 ft height figure that is on the thread header.

Change may be coming soon on their website to reflect new height for 30 Hudson.

I might be alone here but if there is indeed and height decrease, I don't have much of a problem with it. For one, we're still getting a building about the size of the ESB, and quite honestly, I didn't like the idea of 30HY being the marquee tower of HYs. It doesn't stand out enough in my opinion.
Besides with all the activity in the area I have very little doubt it's reign as the tallest in HY will not last, who knows, it might be related's own 50 HY. The main question is, if they chopped the height by 100 feet and there will be taller buildings in the area, does the observation deck still make sense?

They keep lowering 30 and raising everything else... Ah well, it's still pretty.

transparent cantilevered observation deck???
also I expected they would keep the height over 1250ft to surpass the ESB as the tallest office building in midtown. Though 1227ft is suspiciously close to 1337ft in writing.

I think we can pretty much set this one in stone. HYs own press release provides the same height figure as the Times'.
And yea, where did u get that rendering J Biz? It looks better from street level.

Another height decrease?
I'm still happy it's tall... but let's hope this is the final height!

Where will all the sq footage go seeing as this building is getting smaller?
