I'm sure plenty of light will beam through the observation deck's skylight.

it's going to be so impressive when this whole project completes.

With Phase 1 Towers, Phase 2 Towers, Hudson Blvd Towers & Manhattan West Towers, this will be an impressive city all by its own.

The office towers shrink while the residential ones grow. Shows where Related's priorities are, shows where the money really is.

the complex still looks cool, a little shorter than previously expected but oh well.

Whenever buildings are proposed in NY, I am starting to assume that they will end up 150-200 feet shorter than originally planned since that's the pattern recently :/

True, that's why I'm not really that upset about it, the skyline will look good for sure

Not loving the additional haircut/ shave down to 1,227 ft. It will still be impressive, though and as a whole HY will be magnificent. Any chance though the new numbers get moved upwards a bit by construction time?

If this is final, I'm okay with this. The 400+ version was too tall compared to the others in the cluster.
In terms of height, there is more balance now.

The city should encourage mixed use pretty much everywhere. Would discourage shit like the massing for 50 hy. We'd get more setbacks too.

I must be the only one who likes 50 Hudson, but I'll admit they can do much much better. Lol

I don't see what's stopping then from sending some to 50 hy. Nyc15 seems to think the Hudson Spire is a Related plot.

Well, it's kinda annoying this won't even surpass the (official) height of the ESB now. On the other hand, I kind of like the idea of the Hudson Yards complex looking more like a plateau instead of a cluster with a tall tower standing out.

I agree, thats why I liked the idea from 2 years ago that made 10&30 HY around 1,000 and 1,200ft, respectively.
