Nice. I love the platform and how it is created. Truly history in the making!

Hmm, so how does the fact that in 1887 Skanska was started only about 5 miles from Lomma (the city in Sweden that is) figure into this? There's no way this can be a coincidence.

Hudson Yards and the surrounding Hudson Boulevard/Manhattan West developments have to be the largest cohesive development in US history right? If not, it's gotta be close. Can't wait to see the west side transform.

Just a coincidence, don't read too much into it.

Hudson Yards in New York and Miami has two mega ones, Brickell City Center (under construction) and Miami World Center.

Interesting to see that NY Crane show photos of the Skanska cranes on their website. They also seem to be selling one.

NY CRANES/LOMMA is the only authorized dealer for Favco Cranes in the US, so SKANSKA brought their cranes from them and not directly from FAVCO - which I guess is also why NY CRANES show them on their website.

I was going to say that this site plan reminds me a lot of the Miami World Center:

Of course with shorter towers and more residential & retail in nature:

WoW this is amazing so how long before the tallest building is completed? I love the design contemporary and very classy. It brings NYC into the future. The public spaces look great. What will the cultural aspects be and what sort of residential buildings are they?

Don't forget South Lake Union and Denny Triangle in Seattle, courtesy of Amazon's insane growth spree. Not so much a single master plan but still one of the most intense levels of development anywhere in the US at the moment. Same for Rincon Hill/Transbay in San Francisco.

They are done with super columns and are lifting pre-assembled spans now.

New crane on the block. Liebherr LR1250, this is some serious machine.

Photo below is from Liebherr website.(LR 1250)

Is this the crane for North Tower?

The final frontier. Hudson Yards is the largest open space (besides Central Park) in Manhattan... not for long.
