As a side question.. are the TG Link Belt Towers Cranes banned in NYC?.. If that is the case how can they still use tower sections?

Thanks in advance..
tower sections are tower sections. doesnt really matter so long as the engineering proves out.

the reason the link belts were banned was mechanical

I'm still not the biggest fan of the way it just juts out into space instead of being better integrated into the rest of the tower. But I'm sure when you're up there it will be absolutely thrilling. (If I'm not mistaken, that looks like the "glass floor" near the tip of the platform, although I don't see any corresponding glass below, so I wonder if it's just a high-res display like they have at One World Observatory)
There will be a glass floor based on past articles.

I hope they went to One WTC's observation deck and realized how lame that display is and how it doesn't fool anyone for a second.

If there's a balcony on the third floor in your suburban mall that has a glass floor it's more thrilling to stand on that than on this cheap trick.

I also hope they don't go with the 'cheap airport bar' scheme for the restaurant and bar like the group that runs One WTC's observation deck did..,

Yes, it is 1296' 11'' measured from AMSL (average mean sea level). 1268' is the correct height. Source: blueprints read in KPF office.

10 HY is looking dominate but lonely out there on the west side. 30 HY will be a game changer for the area.

They are moving fast with Hudson Yards retail.

The North Tower is few feet above street level now.(foreground)

West end of the tower (right) is already defined.

Notice the difference between the retail columns ....

...and North Tower columns.

The North Tower is rising. (left columns)

Fans are being removed from the yards command building below the North Tower which will still be functioning.

Sun shade.

Lunch break.

Crane porn.

Another tower crane has been erected since the pictures were taken, and another one is on its way.

Dat glass!

Also, why don't people update thread titles anymore? It's been confirmed many times this is now 1,296' feet (395 m) tall. I know it's not a big deal I'm just a stickler
