I wouldn't be surprised if this is 10 floors up before the Coach tower is fully topped out (not counting today's core top out of course).

Leaving very little room for big windows on this tower. Its more steel than glass.

Weird thing to say about a building with a floor to ceiling curtain wall envelope.
Obviously they have to do cross bracing on a steel structure like this on certain floors, those will most likely be mechanical floors.

These "Mechanical floors" appear to be at the sidewalk level though. Or at least very very close to street level.

Look at this rendering and compare with the picture of ILNY. The parts with the bracing would be those with the brown cladding in the lower floors (they may go a few floors up where the curtain wall is)

Those lower floors will be occupied by the Lobby and retail areas, which don't need large windows. Those bracing should be interrupted a few floors up, presumabily above the retail podium. The bracing is much needed in the lower floors of this building since it has a very irregular estructure to adapt it to the tracks of the yard.

The Twins Towers did have a core. It just wasn't made out of concrete.

Finally. I asked this before and never got a proper answer. I assume several of the towers in the Hudson Yards will have no core. So that platform must be insanely solid to hold all these towers.
