The base is huge by itself, but the tower will dwarf everything nearby.

Looks like cladding has started on this tower!!!

Edit:Sorry wasn't cladding of 30 HY, but a building behind it. Hope cladding starts soon though!

question.

Will this tower be the largest in new york square footage wise? Rooftop wise it will be 100 feet shorter than WTC 1, but its seems much wider.

If it is not the most "massive" tower I am curious which tower in NY that is.

I forget the name, but I think the largest per sq ft is one in Lower Manhattan, a super block building, tall, but not overly so. 4 or 5 million sq ft. MetLife Building is also one of the largest in the city as well.
