will coach tower maintain its black and blue appearance or when finished will it all be the same shade? Asking because the different shades actually look pretty cool to me.

I think it is what it is. The windows on the upper part are angled slightly upward so they catch the light of the setting sun differently.

It's understandable - however this is a wrong perception as the collapse on WTC on 9/11 has actually little to do with the core.
The floor construction was using joists (small trusses) which are lighter/thinner (the light weight makes it easier to erect/build and more economical).
The joists melted and were compromised on 2/3/4 floors where there was the impact of planes & fire. Once the floor diaphragms were lost, the unbraced length of some of the periphery columns tripled/quadrupled, and the columns buckled.

I know, but a concrete core could have prevented elevators and stairwells from being cut off (this is why 1 wtc now has a 3 foot thick concrete core) after the airplane impact. Anyways back to this tower. Has there been a height increase yet in terms of construction or any cladding?

55HY is silently churning along, when it's more visible we'll have both rising together. And 15HY and 1MW will be popping out of the ground not too far in the future, then it's construction porn.

Very exciting and impressive building!
Who on earth was so incredibly unimaginative to come up with the utterly generic 'Manhattan Tower'. It really is a new low creatively speaking.
Was it best on a list that also included 'Very Tall Tower' and 'New York Office Building'?
At best it's arrogant as one could question what qualifies this particular modern office building to claim the name 'Manhattan' for itself?
Or you can also call it boring I guess.

Maybe it's a typo and what they meant to write was "Manhattan's tower". Makes more sense..

There is already a Manhattan Tower, it's next to 100 East 53rd St and the Citigroup Center.

"Manhattan Tower" was probably a foreign investor attention grabber or mistranslation or something.
