Well it isn't a good pr name because when you search this on google you get any random tower in manhattan. In that case the Empire State Building is a perfectly chosen name.

So glad that New York has these sort of developments around. The observation platform of this tower adds so much to the overall design.

I'm looking forward to this getting above the level of the mall. It looks like that's starting to happen.

Hopefully the later phases of Hudson Yards will incorporate some masonry facade buildings, as well as some middle height buildings. Too much glass and too many buildings at the same height really makes it stand out a little too much and makes it all look a little bland at the same time. Battery Park City manages to make the World Trade Center look much better and vice versa through contrast.

NEW YORK | 30 Hudson Yards - Manhattan Tower | 387m | 1268ft | 73 fl | U/C

We'll see about the architectural stylings closer to when phase one is complete. Right now it's more conceptual than anything

Drove past this last weekend. It's amazing how massive this building is in person.

^ Agreed. I was across the street from it yesterday and I have to say, the scale is massive. It's hard to express... I felt like I was at the base of an Aircraft Carrier being constructed or some futuristic ship, not a skyscraper.... I think in part because of its breadth but more specifically because of its shape - the intricate tangle of steel that looks as if it's about to give rise to something completely mammoth and surprising.

will these floors be divided in half in some way?

Just by the people in the picture each floor is currently like 20+ feet.

Or maybe this is the section where the studios will be? I guess that would make sense.

This is the crown jewel of the complex/neighborhood. It's immensely satisfying to watch rise, like 1WTC. And like 1 Vanderbuilt will be for midtown east.
