Agreed, massive footprint unlike all the supertall apartment towers going up around town. It's going to be amazing to watch this and the rest of Hudson Yards grow over 2016 and beyond!

This is so detached from Midtown... Manhattan will look like it'll have 3 skylines in the future. I can already imagine how much impact this will have considering 10HY is such an eyecatcher.

It's amazing how this city that has been attacked by so many monsters and had a lot of natural disasters keeps getting better and better.

Go NYC !

The three skylines comment was great - this cluster will really stand out. Being so close to the river and far West, it will appear in different parts of the skyline (orientation wise) depending on where you are. The complex is already becoming dominant on the Jersey side as 10 HY looks considerably taller than other buildings in mid-town due to its location - imagine this one which will be over 300 feet taller?

I also loved the other picture which perfectly shows the transformation of this area for anyone not familiar to the city. The small 4 story walk up and the McDonalds which had the parking lot/drive through were not common for the mid-town area at all anymore but the area far west of hell's kitchen remained low rises and industrial. Seeing this massive complex and the other residential buildings going up around these structures before they are demolished really paints the picture of the transformation.
