The third office tower, the design of which has not yet been released, also will be a supertall. Moreover, the Yards is a very small swathe of the far West Side and scores of supertalls are planned for this area.

The north tower, which is at least 350m, is quite nice. It's nicer, and way taller than the new tower on Bishopsgate in London, which KPF also designed. The south tower will impress people when they see it in person. Moreover, these are just two of about 10-15 buildings that will rise in the Yards, and a mere fraction of the towers that will rise in the far West Side. NY is truly the king.

Exact.

On this side of town, we have several projects with height above 300 meters.
The north tower Hudson Yards, Brookfield Properties (Manhattan West), The GiraSole, 15 pen plaza, among others. Not to mention, all other buildings planned for skyscraper heights for this side of town.

The city will become a hell of buildings.

Among the other prominent sites that are zoned for towers in excess of 350m are Sherwood Equities' site on 10th Ave., the proposed NY Convention Center Hotel site on the east side of 11th Ave. across from Javitt's, and Joseph Sitt's site at 450 10th, together with many others. This area will be like NY's Pudong, and Related's Hudson Yards is the mere tip of the iceberg.

There aren't links. Even Sherwood merely has a massing model on its website.

I agree with you. Quality might be the most important factor for tenant harvesting, but having a building that is at least the tallest one in an area of the city will always help

The new Hudson Boulevard park which will be created between 10th and 11th Avenues shows how this area will be transformed.

One can also see more images of the plans for Related's Hudson Yards on Van Valkeberg's website

I lean toward great design. When it comes to supertalls. I don't care if there 1,000 feet or 2,000 feet, as long as they look good.

This was posted in a recent article in Architectural Record regarding the Hudson Yards. An insider, moreover, stated that the design shown thus far is not necessarily final.

I'd be fine with that. I can see how tall they will be, with NYTT in the background.
