The architects and locations for each project have already been known for a while now. I distinctly remember reading that the concrete plans were supposed to be released in late 2017, so hopefully we won't have to wait too long before we get to see.

There was a video a couple of months ago of a lecture or presentation by Stephen M. Ross and back then he said phase 2 is going to start in early 2018.

Phase 2 is when the project gets ruined because Frank Gehry is involved ... so I kinda hope it doesn't happen.

We'll get Phase 2 after 15, 35 and One Hudson Yards fill up to a significant degree. It shouldnt take long, the neighborhood is red hot.

What a selfish attitude. Your issue with Ghery (which I've seen you bitch about before) is your personal problem. No need to wish the cancellation of the project just because an architect's style isn't to your liking.

Here is the Video where Stephen Ross says (at 13:40) that the platform for the Western Yards (Phase II) should begin "in the beginning of '18, if not sooner".

I actually really like Gehry. He has a very weird unique style, so I can see why people don't like him but I love his style. I'm stoked to see what he has in store for Hudson Yards!

I hope they will add a super tower to it. That's the only way it looks complete to me.

It would look nicer to have a taller tower, but Ross is a cheapskate developer. He builds trash in other cities and NY is lucky to be getting some nice towers here given the guys track record of cheap designs.

Thisis not being insane this is just pure marketing tactics. What else should he do to promote his project? And Ross is partly right, the HY is not THE new center of Manhattan but certainly A new center of many centers the city has. And I am more than happy with what is going on on the west side and the highline park. Itīs something I would have never imagined possible in NYC just a few years ago.

He said he thinks it will be THE Center of NY, and everybody has laughed at him for it in publications around the web. Keep up mate.

It's pretty ridiculous to suggest that HY will be THE center of NY. And as an promotional strategy, it's pretty arrogant to assume people are dumb enough to believe it.

Was Canary Wharf THE center of London, or La Defense for Paris.. No, they remained in the traditional hearts of those cities and it will for NY too. These developers.....
