He's can be a bit much, but he's not worth cancelling the project over even if you hate him personally, lol. Probably will be some minor building anyway, nothing to get worked up over.

This complex totally changes the dynamics of midtown and NYC in general. What once was abandonned west side junk, is now a new center pice of the ever evolving city that NYC is. Soon this area will be one of the most visited and photographed areas of the whole city and give New York a whole new identity. I canīt wait to go back to Weehawken ASAP and have a view over the Hudson.

30 Hudson Yards now about 280 metre (915 feet) probably 58 floors
Setback about 305 metre (1000 feet) probably 63 floors won’t be long
If anyone can count floors in moments... take your time ...no hurry
if I right?

if you took all of the current construction in nyc right now and put it all on an empty parcel of land it would be a top 5 american skyline. This boom is unheard of here.

It's a monstrous tower, but its far better than the stocky box next door which is just lame. I too would put that tower on a diet by stretching its height to 400+ meters. I think the developer chose to limit the height most likely to save on costs, which is unfortunate but that is the reality of development.

Since I brought it up earlier, just wanna say for those interested in the whole project like myself, I found the render of the full build out of HY! (phase 1 and 2):

(A caveat: I'm not quite sure if this render is totally up to date though)

Heck, if you just took the Hudson Yards area alone you'd have a top ten skyline in North America easily! Manhattan (and a bit of spillover into Brooklyn) is really in a league of its own when it comes to American skyscraper development; it's almost more analogous to China or the UAE (which of course is incredible in a fully developed economy ).
