Just to make sure I've got this right: Coach is occupying the shorter tower and only the shorter tower begins immediately ?

The oval one in the background is going to be a hotel.

I've waited a long time for this and finally this project is going to start! I like almost every building on this renders... but a spire is missing for the city of spires

After visiting the site in August, I can only imagine how this area could look in 10-15 years. So I can not wait until construction begins either. .

Yeah. The larger tower requires a small deck to be built over some rail yards, but the smaller one that Coach is occupying doesn't require a deck at all and will sit on firm ground. Although the deck for the taller tower will likely get going in the next year even without a major tenant for that tower.

The design for the the third office tower, which will be over 2m sf, has not yet been finalized. Maybe it will have a spire.

Bear in mind too that Related's Hudson Yards is just a small slice of the supertall development that will occur in this area.

I guarantee, moreover, that within twenty years, the Javits Convention Center (seen at the left of this photo) will be gone and that site, which is somewhat bigger than Related's, will be developed too, together with the scores of empty lots and warehouses currently in this area.

This could very well lead to NY having the biggest supertall block in the world in two or three decades. Especially if future buildings will be as thin as 440 park or the Dubai Marina towers

That oval tower looks as though they took away part of Trump's tower in Chicago and dropped in in NYC. It's an uncanny resemblance.

Related could facilitate Time Warner swap in Hudson Yards

Now that Coach is on the books, Hudson Yards' next office tenant could be Time Warner, according to the New York Post. The namesake of Related Companies' Columbus Circle complex has been looking to downsize from the 864,000-square-foot space it owns at the Time Warner Center, and other city office space, in an effort to cut costs. Related is considering offering the media giant an opportunity to swap its space for a smaller home in Hudson Yards

Time Warner should keep moving into new developments to help them get approval

I want 'em all. But forced to choose I'd choose completing all four WTC towers in timely fashion.

Now I'm hoping that Time Warner moves to the Hudson Yards site, since the project Manhattan West is a failure with its reduction in height.
