Hudson Yards will undeniably be another playground area for the rich but it’s better than what was there before which was nothing.
Yeah good points, to be fair I have to admit that the trip I mentioned was pretty short so I was only in the lower manhattan area, which is where peak gentrification has occurred (is there a phase beyond "gentrification"? Whatever it is they've hit it there.) So yeah good to know there are still places for regular people in New York . Tribeca is one thing, but if it starts to look like that in Astoria then something is really up!

uh...

(p.s. great photos btw! thank you for sharing )

It surprises me that in that picture, Midtown skyline is not apparent. You can see ESB, BofA Tower and a few others, but not forming a prominent cluster as Hudson Yards is showing.

Another thing that draw my attention is that four-building complex with the pyramidal tops at the right side of the picture. I don't remember seeing those before. They look as they could be used in the plot of a ghostbuster movie, being in reality a device to open a door to the underworld or something, with some rays emerging from each top and converging above, of course.
