Once it tops out it will be #3, but will get quickly passed by others.

By the end of 2020 the list should be:
(1) One World Trade Center 1,776'
(2) Central Park Tower 1,550'
(3) Steinway Tower/111 West 57th 1,428'
(4) One Vanderbilt 1,401'
(5) 432 Park Avenue 1,396'
(6) 30 Hudson Yards 1,268'

Then there's 80 South Street (1,436') and 2 World Trade Center (1,323') that are also in the pipeline (excl. others like 666 5th Avenue that I haven't heard of for a while)

The top 5 list would seem impossible just a couple years ago, makes you wonder what kind of "impossible" top 5 we will forecast in lets say 10 years.

You know we're in a brand new era for New York when the Empire State Building isn't in the top 6 tallest anymore.

Its time to move on. The most important is to not build somethink to close to it.

Almost every single building in that photo was built in the last 20 years.

Any word on whether the (7) station will still connect directly to any of the buildings for sheltered access?

I believe that one was built a couple of years ago, so don't hold your breath.
But I agree with you, it's super ugly, especially compared to the masterpieces that are being built next to it.

It´s hard to believe that the Ohm used to stand out in this area not long time ago.
