That's great news. I'd imagine it's open for the reason you mention or to bring on heavier machinery on site. Really looking forward to this building.

I was too scared to wonder inside so I just took pictures just in case, not sure if I should post them or not.
Should be interesting. Just post them, I would say.

Maybe it's prohibited to walk on the site and take pictures, so maybe Arawooho is afraid that he gets a fine. But if the gate was open.

The site is blocked by a curtain but there are holes you can stick your camera lens into, so you can take pictures it's just not as easy. The site was open and it would be easy to get inside but I'm just a teenager and I don't feel like getting arrested for trespassing haha.
Here the pics:

This is from a few months ago, before prep work Notice the gates are sealed.

Here's that same spot now:

The gate to the top side of the yards was wide open. Awkward. The actual prep hole is to the left, you can see a corner of the hole from that small gate.

Actual site from the side. Notice the white mobile crane thing..

Finally I was able to peek through a hole in the dense curtain covering much of the work site, if any recall my last picture 2 weeks ago there has been somewhat more work done now.:

That part is not, that's the 3rd and final phase of the high line which will be built, probably along with the western half of the HY project.

The high line, an elevated park, does currently terminate right across the street from where this tower will rise. In that photo you quoted, it's to the left and across the street. Not a good place to take photos of the tower until it gets above ground though.

You are all welcome by the way!!!

When the real construction starts, I'll keep y'all up to date with the current status of the Yards.
