The hotel's curved, south facade is visible in the model below.
Damn, they should rename this project Hudson City, it basically is one in itself. 3 supertalls + several 200+ m towers... again, damn.

Yeah, I agree. The hotel looks a lot like Trump Chicago.

I don't understand why construction can't begin until the extension is complete.. wouldn't it make more sense if they started as soon as possible?

Which is why construction is beginning in the spring. Is it too much to ask for people to read through the last few pages of a thread before posting?

Hahahaha I like this dude.

Currently more foundation and other prep work still being done on the Coach tower. That original hole has been covered up but there are more patches where workers are drilling. I have no idea what they are really doing but it looks like progress.

The High Line Phase 3 could be under construction as early as July so a LOT of projects are going to be underway in the hood soon.

Awesome pic HK. I love how that photo shows 42nd St goes river to river. Good article from todays NYTimes on the neighborhood as a whole, and gives a render of a 200 unit residential building that's aiming to start rising this year.

In 10 years time from 42nd down to 28th West of 7th Ave will basically be all high rises, and that photo will look like the densest parts of Midtown.

This picture truly shows how much space we have to build, and how vital the success of this development is to the area. I'd also like to see more development in Hell's Kitchen. It's ridiculous how short the buildings are in so much of Hell's Kitchen.

Hey I see my apartment from there.
Currently, this part of Manhattan is one of the emptiest, in 5 years it will be very dense and flashy.

Hells Kitchen has beautiful brownstones on tree-lined streets. It should be preserved.

That is a lot of space waiting to be developed.

That whole front, including the Javits Center needs to be redeveloped.

I added that great aerial view to the first post of the thread to give an overview.
