The diagrams on the brochure depict at least another hundred feet for each tower above floors 46 and 67, respectively. We'll see.

As per the latest renderings, the boomerang observatory is gone, but the North Tower still has an indoor observatory near the top of the tower.
AT least the topic title can be canged with the new numbers.

I beg that these figures reflect just the top floor cause it's so close to beating 1WTC, yet not there according to them. If it doesn't beat 1WTC I'm gonna explode with pure rage

As soon as related finds an anchor tenant. The south tower seems to fill up with tenants, and since the HY project has lower square feet prices then other new office towers in Manhattan, i guess it´ll happen soon. (sometime in 2013)

Time Warner, News Corp., and Credit Suisse are among the contenders to fill a large portion of the North Tower.

Yeah, rumors where floating around that Time Warner wants to leave Columbus Circle, you´re right. And doesn´t Credit Suisse seek class A office space for ages in midtown?

When a company leaves a building, what happens to the building? Also how is this office space compared to the world trade centers?

Both this and the WTC will be modern class A office space, so both complexes are the absolute elite on the market, at least from what I know. For example the ESB is class A iirc too, however thanks to the internal columns of the structure of such older buildings, they are in a disadvantage when fighting with modern buildings, which have column free space

As to what happens with the old building, I guess it will be sold to a company with lower requirements, which this building meets

They lease the space to someone else.

The HY towers are being sold or leased at cost, and therefore, the space is much cheaper than the WTC. The only space in WTC 2 or 3 that's comparable in price is the first 500,000 sf in T3. Silverstein will lease that at cost because he needs a 500k sf commitment to get financing, and then he'll try to lease the other 2m sf at a profit.

Time Warner's current HQ are in the Time Warner Center at Columbus Circle, so you're right. I just want to add that their current HQs in the TWC is another Related building, same developer here, which I think makes them the favorite to anchor the North Tower.

Despite the layoffs, Credit Suisse has been looking for space for ages. They occupy some gorgeous buildings around Madison Square Park, but they were built in the 30's, maybeee the 40's. That's not a unique situation either. Bank of NY Mellon is HQd in 1 Wall which was built in 1928, and before the crash they considered a move. They're more likely to stay downtown for historic reasons though.

Thanks, Hudson.

Based upon that diagram, I wonder if the 876 and 1337 foot heights include the huge amounts of unoccupied space at the top. They probably do on further thought. Otherwise, the north tower would be over 1,600 feet tall.

Sadly you're right. Unless proven otherwise we should assume that those heights are the complete heights of the towers
