It's a rough massing with some decoration slapped on- the actual building is yet to be designed.

It's amazing how much this project has improved since we first saw it- remember this was the winning scheme by Related! Rather unusual for this city.

That turned into the marginally better this:

And now here we are- how pleasant!

Honestly, something that tall would be beyond appalling.

Well, I loved the classically appearing / Art Deco like twin towers in the middle here:

These would have been plain awesome. Where are they gone?

These are part of phase 2 which I don't know if it's final, but on the updated plan from Related's website, they are included.

The footprints of the buildings in Phase 2 are final, but not the designs themselves.

I agree. Between a lot of glass buildings they would give much needed diversification.

The first proposal fit NYC more than the new one ever would.

True. Apparently, that was not spectacular enough.

Those are still being built in phase two, don't worry! Apparently these were just massings and were revised.

But look at the main towers to the east- very bland and insipid! What we're getting is a vast improvement.

Will phase II be developed as green space temporarily ?

That would be nice, but I doubt it. As soon as the platform is built for Phase 2, the residential towers will start rising unless the economy is in shambles.

Doubtful, since Phase II requires a canopy spanning an enormous block, they're very likely to just build everything at once.

Fit in is not where we want to go.. That is one fast way to architectural mediocrity.

I'm excited to see what kind of changes they make to Phase II, especially that big fat commercial tower. Hopefully it won't be that fat and squat.

Related's portion of the Hudson Yards, by itself, will be one of the best skyline's in the world. By the way, Coach's current HQ on 33rd will be razed, and it also will support aroundv2.5m sf. I believe that Related is buying the site.

It is a very nice building, but I'd rather see a 1,500 foot tower rise here.
