I don't think he's making his point well, but it's there just the same.

Busan's most memorable skyline vista comes, thus far, almost solely from the concentrated and extremely prominent location of most of Busan's skyscrapers in a small section of Haeundae, next to a long suspension bridge (though I still wish they'd made the main span of it two or three times as long), in addition to the quite well-matched blue cladding they all have.

In SK Opposition party accuse all skyscraper project as 토건사업&토건족(SLANG to construction agenda)
he just copy political propaganda.

Really elegant and futuristic looking design. Good they cancelled out the older render as it looked rather oldfashioned...

this is nowadays haewoondae. busan city gov did not care about the hill's scenerly value
this hill is one of the favorite place for busan citizen.. after these APT on the hill top.. many people disappointed. becasue, they can not see past view anymore

anyway...
becasue of LCT, heawoondae beach will lost sands again... that also destroy the beach's scenery value
busan city know the buildings is one of bigest reason for lost sands..
so spend a lot of money for maintaion the sands every year . last winter they spent 49 million dollar for that
(last 70year the beach lost 30~40m width..) but they are not sure it will success
why build super talls in this situation

http://www.56skview.co.kr/bbs/board.php?bo_table=event&wr_id=63&page=2

there is oppostie site of haewoondae(not far from there)

these pics show busan city gov doesn't care about evironment or scenerly
they just think about money...

these are not political problem... these are environmental problem, sample of development thoughtless for the environment and Pariakapitalismus

Normally, cestlavie24, I'd agree that they shouldn't try to build skyscrapers if it's going to do permanent damage to the physical environment they're in, and of course they need to make sure that these towers' foundations are safe. It's also a shame that they're going to block the views of many homes and businesses, as I'm sure that they pay more for their location.

But at the same time, considering what all these towers have done for Haeundae and Busan's economy, it's probably worth it. I'm also pretty sure that the hundreds thousands of tourists who come to the beach every year contribute more to the local economy than it costs to maintain the beach. Not to mention that they seem like they could be part of the problem of the beach disappearing, what with scenes like this being pretty common every summer:

What the Busan government should try and do is popularize some of the city's other beaches, like Gwangan-dong, Amnam-dong, and Songjeong-dong.

Environmental damage is inevitable in heavily populated urban environments like Busan. Nonetheless, I do find beach erosion in non-urban environments due to what seems to be uninformed and misguided infrastructure development to be disturbing and preventable(i.e. evitable).

You speak right.
Already haeundae full blcok with skyscraper such like I-PARK.
Beach erosion begin by two major reason.

HAEUNDAE beach make by TWO way.
One is back side river. the other reason by in front of SEA wind.

1. by block stream from behind small natural river. Which means (haeundae beach) in front of building's basement damage and BLOCK of small&many natural stream from mountains.

So it is not only skyscraper problem but all building's problem.
They have not built building in front of beach. Though when they built building, should maintain& preserved stream from mountain to the beach.

Cause these stream water transport ton of thousand sand from mountains to the beach. Now this system disappear.

2. In front of beach's skyscraper damage to transport sand to the beach.
Natural wind from SEA transport ton of thousand sand from SEA bottom to beach.

But due to skyscraper's artificial block disturbance to windy flow....... therefor now SYSTEM disappear.

In sum these two main reason accelerate beach erosion.

So Why LWT tower is only problem?

I think haeundae must follow HAWAII system. Rather than BORACAY.
